Vienna prepares for the Rainbow Parade, the parade to demand LGTBIQ+ rights

The Austrian city is preparing to celebrate the Rainbow Parade on Sunday, which has been held since 1996, it is the 28th edition, as a sign of support and fight for equal LGTBIQ+ rights.

The Rainbow Parade will march down Vienna’s Ringstrasse street for twenty-eighth time. Rainbow Parade Route: Through the most touristy Vienna

The route of the march in Vienna passes through main tourist spots such as the Parliament, the Vienna State Operathe Stock Exchange and the University of One. At 3:00 p.m., the march stops in memory of those who are no longer with us.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., the celebration continues in the so-called ‘Pride Village’ in the City Hall Park, with speeches by activists and politicians. And after that, a colorful Pride night takes place in various locations in Vienna, with the performance by international DJs to close the day.
