The grand prize went to Chinese photographer Zhonghua Yang for his charming photo of a woman preparing New Year’s dim sum.
The winners of this year’s Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year, which celebrates its 13th edition, are now known. He big prize is for ‘Red Bean Paste Balls’, from photographer chino Zhonghua Yang. Your magnificent snapshot captures a woman holding a tray of balls steaming red bean pasteready for the celebration of the festival in Xiangshan, Zhejiang, where they are also tasted traditional dishes such as meatballs and glutinous rice.
“This wonderful image, perfectly balancedis full of light, shadow, mystery and poignancy,” says Caroline Kenyon, founder of the competition. This year’s competition has received thousands of entries from all over the world. more than 65 countries.
