Six Ukrainian cabinet ministers have resigned from their portfolios amid a major government reshuffle, meaning many senior positions are at stake.
Six ministers of the Ukrainian cabinet, including Dmytro Kulebaoutgoing Foreign Minister, have resigned from their positions in recent days, sending letters to Parliament offering scant explanations for their decisions.
Although there is no official message on the reasons for the remodeling, which is rumored to be structural, the Ukrainian President, Volodímir Zelenskideclared on Wednesday that his Government needed “new energies” in several areas. “These steps are related to the strengthening of our State in different areas,” he declared at a press conference.
It is the largest government remodeling since Russia began its full-scale invasion in 2022. The change in kyiv comes as Ukraine struggles to defend the raid on Russia which he launched almost a month ago, trying to contain the advance of enemy troops in the east.
