Chris Eubank Jnr and Conor Benn were separated when they faced off in Riyadh before Eubank Jnr’s fight with Kamil Szeremeta.
Eubank Jnr and Szeremeta, both 35, meet in the super middleweight division. It is the undercard of the undisputed light heavyweight title fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.
However, the former’s confrontation with Benn will inevitably fuel speculation that they will finally fight in 2025.
Their 2022 catchweight bout was canceled when Benn twice tested positive for the banned substance clomiphene, and he later relinquished his British Boxing Board of Control license.
Eddie Hearn, Benn’s promoter, 28, said in September that he hoped Benn’s return would happen soon. “We’ll know more in early October if it’s going to be. “We have a lot of questions asking why he hasn’t been banned for two years. The test is in June 2022.”
“But to Conor’s detriment, he never wanted to accept the ban because he believed in his innocence. He never wanted to make a deal. And it wastes his time.”
“This little weasel waited until the day I was hungry and dehydrated to feed my ball and pull me up,” Eubank Jnr posted on social media.
“Don’t lose this nugget on Saturday, Captain Satsuma,” Benn replied, “and I suggest you floss your teeth because your breath smells like a mountain of nonsense.
“Three rounds already, I will ban you.”
