New protests broke out in Bangladesh on Friday, resulting in two deaths and more than 100 injured. These latest riots occur after a violent month in which more than 200 people died during demonstrations against controversial reforms to the employment quota system.

In the southeastern city of Chattogram, about 1,000 protesters marched after Friday prayers and set fire to a roadside police checkpoint, the report said.
