In a bizarre incident, London Metropolitan Police Chief Superintendent Mark Rowley appeared to grab a reporter’s microphone as he left an emergency meeting on Monday.
Rowley was seen leaving the emergency meeting with the British Government’s senior staff in Whitehall and walking past the media gathered in the area when he appeared to deliberately manipulate the microphone of one reporter.
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmerand his ministers held the meeting after days of Violence on the rise following recent fatal stabbings of three girls in Southport.
Starmer has Strongly condemned an attack on Sunday at a hotel housing asylum seekers in which at least 10 police officers were injured, one of them seriously, and described it as “far-right thuggery“.
In a statement from 10 Downing Street on Sunday afternoon, the British Prime Minister promised that the authorities “they will do to be necessaryto bring these thugs to justice“and that this will be quick.
Starmer’s statement came as it erupted more violence throughout the country following a stabbing attack in a dance workshop that left three girls dead and several people injured.
