Not all heroes are dressed up like in the comics. As the world’s best athletes gather in Paris, we tell you how to celebrate the Olympic Games across Europe.
Welcome to a special edition of Olympic-themed cultural activities to see and do this week (Deadpool and Wolverine would probably participate if they were real).
Parallel to the Games, it is celebrated the Cultural Olympiada wide range of free creative activities held throughout Paris and inspired by the themes and values of the Olympic Games.
We have also compiled the best of cinethe television and the music 2024, so get ready for a content marathon that will guarantee a good taste in your mouth at the finish line.
We also remind you of the exhibition of outdoor sculptures by Fernando Botero in Rome, a display of iconic film props in Turin and a celebration of the everyone’s favorite plastic girl at the Design Museum in London.

Exhibitions on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
Yes it’s in Paris on the occasion of the OlympicsWow, there is a lot of art to see alongside all the sporting events. In fact, not only in Paris. Cities across Europe celebrate the most important event of the year: from a Croatian exhibition dedicated to the Games ancient and modern, to a British exhibition of works and sculptures inspired by the Games of a century ago.
In the Eye of the Storm: Modernism in Ukraine, 1900-1930″ at the Royal Academy (London, United Kingdom)
This exhibition, a surprising ukrainian modernist art collection from 1900 to 1930, collects the expressions of a nation troubled and torn by war for centuries. 65 works are on display – from oil paintings to theatrical designs – that represent the diversity of styles and the different cultural identities that emerged at that time. It is also an opportunity to meet some of the country’s best artists, until now unknown, while continuing to support cultural institutions that continue to struggle to protect themselves after the Russian invasion (everything on display here has been loaned by the National Art’s Museum from Ukraine and the Museum of Theater, Music and Cinema of Ukraine, in kyiv). ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’
“Your little Cinematic Universe is about to change forever,” jokes Deadpool in one of the first teasers for Marvel’s next summer blockbuster… These are bad times for the MCU after a series of cinematic failures. After dominating the box office for over a decade, it seems superhero fatigue has fully set in.
But if there is something that could bring back to the public it is a crossover between Deadpool and Wolverine (with the original costume from the comics!). A classic team-up to fight doomsday evil, the pairing of two beloved characters and a script loaded with sardonic wit has the potential to breathe new life into the genre – or end up being another snap from Thanos.
Our resident film critic David Mouriquand pulled out his claws and is not entirely convinced that it is the MCU’s saving blockbuster of the year. You can read his full review here (in English, yes).

‘Time Bandits’ (Apple TV+)
This new Apple TV+ series is an adaptation of Terry Gilliam’s 1981 cult classic of the same name and is directed by nuts Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi (‘Flight of the Conchords’, ‘What We Do in the Shadows’), and Iain Morris (‘The Inbetweeners’ ). It stars Kal-El Tuck as Kevin, a history-obsessed 11-year-old boy who finds himself in the middle of a swarm of space thieves after discovering a portal to a parallel universe where it is possible to travel in time. Also starring Lisa Kudrow as the gang’s leader, Penelope, and Clement as “Puro Mal,” who tries to get his hands on a stolen map, it’s an adventurous fun that puts a new spin on an old classic.

At only 27 years old, Simone Biles is one of the best gymnasts in the world. She has won a total of 37 Olympic and world medals, in addition to being the first American gymnast to win four gold medals in one Olympic Games and six world all-around titles. In 2021 she made headlines by retiring from the Tokyo Olympics to focus on his mental health after suffering a sudden loss of spatial awareness, a gymnastic phenomenon known as “twisties.” This specific moment is the center of a new four-part Netflix docuserieswhich begins in 2020 and runs until his next participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. A powerful look at the mental strength necessary to reach the physical heights of success.
