Hamburg – WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora says his next fight will be an anticipated rematch with Errol Spence.

Spence last fought in July 2023, losing to Terrence Crawford in Las Vegas in a one-sided welterweight bout. But it is likely to be fought at Fundora in early 2025.

When asked if Spence, 28-1 (22 KO), was next, Fundora replied: “It should be.” It should be. The next fight for us. But I won’t talk about dating. Because usually people will post on social media or whoever is interviewing me saying this. Then they’ll call me a liar. So I’ll leave that to the promoter, but he should be next.

Fundora has been training since April, defeating Tim Tszyu in March in one of the fights of the year. The Spence fight could happen in Texas, although Fundora won’t decide in Las Vegas.

Crawford’s Defeat It was a ninth-round stoppage for the undisputed world title at 147 pounds, a brutal loss for Spence. which was cut short by the talented Nebraskan golfer. There are people who feel Spence may not have been the same since then, and others who don’t think he’s been the same since he survived a high-speed car crash in 2019. But Fundora has nothing but respect for Spence and will train. to Spence, who was boxing at welterweight before running into Crawford.

“definitely. He lost (only) once,” said Fundora, a 6-foot-5, 26-year-old who is 21-1-1 (13 KOs). “There is no reason for anyone to doubt him. He’s been a long-time champion, he’s defended the IBF a couple of times, he’s united with (Shawn) Porter, he’s united with (Yordenis) Ugas, I don’t know why people overlook him. We definitely won’t do that. We see the same Spence as always. And I think everyone should expect a good fight from him.”
