The M903 launcher production contract between a Polish company and an American consortium provides for the delivery, starting in 2027, of almost fifty units for the Polish Army. The agreement aims to boost the deployment of new Patriot defense systems.
The Polish arms company Huta Stalowa Wola and the American consortium Raytheon signed a contract for the production of M903 launcherswhich provides for the delivery of 48 units al Army of Poland from 2027. The launchers can be used for the formation of six batteries anti-aircraft defense Patriot.
Poland currently has two batteries of Patriot missiles, deployed in its territory following a contract signed in 2018. The Patriot system constitutes a key pillar of the defense Polish airline, called ‘Wisla’.
Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz welcomed the signing of the new contract, which, he believes, “strengthens Poland’s security“and represents an investment for the security of the country” and the allies“.

In this sense, the US ambassador in Warsaw, Mark Brzezinski, highlighted the relationship of “trust” between his country and Poland, as well as the importance of the Patriot defense system, which “has proven to be decisive on the battlefield in Ukraine“, by intercepting “missiles and drones and protecting cities and critical infrastructure.”
Brzezinski also highlighted that the Patriot “improves the ability to protect the skies over the territory of the I’LL TAKEin addition to military interoperability”, which in his opinion represents a “powerful deterrent“on the eastern flank of the Atlantic Alliance.
NATO member Poland shares a 700 kilometer border with Russia. In May, Warsaw announced that the section would be equipped with a defensive modernization valued at 2.5 billion dollars (about 2,300 million euros).
