The Military Police agents who arrived to arrest the soldiers encountered protests and organized resistance. Dozens of protesters came to show their support for the soldiers, Israeli flags waved and repeatedly shouted “shame.” Among them were several deputies from the extreme right of the parties of the Government coalition of Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Israeli extreme right openly advocates mistreating Palestinian detainees e inclusive apply the death penalty.

Thousands of Palestinians, mainly from Gaza, have been interned in Sde Teiman. At least 36 Palestinians have died in the last nine months while they were imprisoned. Some 124 Palestinians remain imprisoned without chargeaccording to Israeli media, despite the fact that the Israeli attorney general asked that the prisoners be transferred.

Attacks on children documented by Amnesty International

According to complaints from the Israeli NGO Doctors for Human Rights in Israel and of International Amnesty, in that prison, the authorities Israelis practice torture, beatings and sexual assaults in areas without security cameras against Palestinians, many of them imprisoned without formal charges against them.

Last week, the organization Human Rights Watch published a report that is based on images taken and published by the soldiers themselves and Israeli activists in which he denounces that Israel is committing war crimes against Palestinian prisoners, including children, by subjecting them to sexual violence and inhuman treatmentbased on images taken and published by Israeli soldiers and activists themselves.
