Welterweight prospect Nicklaus Flaz will compete Saturday at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Fla., when he faces Christian. Gomez, who has more experience

Puerto Rico’s Flaz is 13-2 with nine stoppage time wins and will fight in the scheduled 10 rounds and for the third straight time on ProBox TV.

Flash has always been confident. And he hopes to make an impression and be ready to take his career to the next level.

“Everything, my body, my mind, my thoughts. I have a strong idea for what I want to achieve in the ring,” he said of why he felt he was ready for Gomez from Mexico. “I just have to keep working hard and keep working hard in the gym. I’m fighting hard every time I go there. And I have to go in there, do my job and I will show that I am on top.”

The veteran Gomez is 23-4-1 (21 KO) and Flaz is aware of the threat posed by his heavy punches.

“I saw the fight a few times to see what he brought. And he has a ferocious left hook. He’s got a lot of power,” Flash said. “It’s going to be a really fun fight.” You’re going to see a good fight. There will be fireworks.”

He added that the plan is “Stay away from his left hook. He can punch with left hooks and uppercuts.”

When asked if his strategy was to face fire with fire, Flash said he is open to whatever happens.

“I can do both,” he says, “in my career. I’m a new fighter. That was the beginning of my career. Let’s see who is stronger. If not, then I also have boxing skills. I can mix it I can box I can respond. You will see a lot of that on Saturday night.”

Flash said as he climbed up the stairs. He pushed himself further so that he would be ready for a better level of resistance. This resulted in longer camps and longer training sessions that were more difficult than ever before in his career.

“I’m excited, man,” he said. “This is the kind of challenge I want. So that I can prove that I’m at the next level. Just because I don’t fight often doesn’t mean I don’t have experience. I put in the work. I work hard to show that I’m at that level.”
