They say that Mexico always grows when it faces to Brazil and that is just what El Tri needs in these times of so much uncertainty and pessimism ahead of the Copa América that begins in a couple of weeks.
After the 4-0 defeat against Uruguaythe delay with the United States and the bad results, the morale of the Mexican National Team is at rock bottom, but perhaps a rival of Brazil’s caliber is what this team needs to be inspired and get a result that will lift their spirits and self-love in the face of this great international tournament, which will be the only serious competition that El Tri will have before the World Cup where it will be co-host.
After winning the Gold Cup (where they did not face the United States thanks to the fact that their archrival went to said tournament with a youth team and was eliminated), these are the results of the ‘Aztec’ team:

The duel against Brazil is tonight (9:00 p.m. ET) at Kyle Field stadium.
In other words, ‘Jimmy’ does not know what it is like to win victories after what was the Gold Cup, a tournament for which he assumed the position as interim and for which he ended up winning the final position towards North America 2026.
Without counting Bolivia, there are three victories (all against teams below 40th place in the FIFA Ranking), three draws (one of them against Germany) and four defeats, three against teams supposedly ‘at the level’ of the Tri (between the place 10th and 15th in the FIFA Ranking), in addition to visiting Central America.
In other words, it is clear that Mexico is going through its lowest moment in years and if it does not break the mold against Brazil tonight in Texas, it is not seen how it can take an exciting result towards the America Cup.
