It’s official, Hirving Lozano will arrive at the MLS as a San Diego FC Franchise Player, after signing a four-season contract, so he will be linked to the club until 2028.
The Mexican will arrive from PSV in January 2025, the year that will mark the team’s debut in the American league. In this way, the ‘Farmers’ will have Lozano’s participation for the remainder of 2024. However, Lozano’s presentation will take place this June 13 at the Snapdragon Stadium.
In words collected by the club, ‘Chucky’ assured:

For Lozano, the SDFC project goes beyond his participation on the field, as he was impressed with the Right to Dream Academy and confessed that he identified with the plans immediately, “I am sure that we will be able to help many youth players from both sides of the border”
For his part, the club’s CEO, Tom Penn, said about the Mexican’s arrival:

Lozano debuted with Pachuca de la Liga MX in 2013 and left for Europe in the summer of 2017. In his first three seasons with PSV he played 79 games and scored 40 goals.
His performance with the Dutch team took him to Serie A, becoming the most expensive signing in Napoli’s history. With the ‘Azzurri’ he played four seasons in which he lined up 155 times and scored 30 times; He was also part of the historic Italian league title in 2022/23.
On his return to PSV he only played 33 times and scored six goals; besides, lifted the league title.
