The Polish man who attacked the Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksenhas been convicted four months in prison and he will be expelled from the country for having hit the social democrat during a public event in Copenhagen on June 7.

The aggressor, 39, explained during the trial who was drunk when he attacked the prime minister and that the attack was not politically motivated. The Pole will not be able to enter Denmark for a period of six years after being expelled.

The man was arrested immediately after the attack, which left Frederiksen in a state of shock, as explained at the time. The man was also convicted of impudent behavior and for cheating with automatic bottle machines.
