The topic of boxing briefly emerged from what many are calling the biggest interview of 2024.

The boxing portion of the Trump-Rogan interview began with Trump and Rogan discussing their mutual admiration for UFC boss Dana White, and Trump asked Rogan, “Can boxing be done?”
Rogan replied: “Yes, boxing is still a great sport. I love boxing.”
Trump responded: “But right now it doesn’t seem very important compared to the UFC, don’t you think?”
Stand-up comedian Rogan is also a UFC commentator, and his podcast is available to millions of viewers.
“Dana is working with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They will start promoting boxing now. and with Dana at the helm I think boxing will come back,” Rogan added. “Because they want to fight. Maybe promoters don’t want to do it because they want to protect their fighters. Dangerous conflicting battles You don’t know. This guy can lose.
“So the Saudis are smart. They were offering huge sums of money and they were fighting like no one could muster. They are doing that in boxing.”
Trump spoke of his enjoyment of the 15-round fight, calling James Toney “a real fighter” for his career success in weightlifting. He added that “If Dana is involved. They will probably make it good.”
