Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg will join the likes of AIR, Phoenix and Tom Cruise at this weekend’s closing ceremony.
Los Paris Olympic Games come to an end on Sunday and, now, some rumors have materialized into facts, as we know the artists who will perform at the closing ceremony.
The artistic director, Thomas Jollyand the event’s executive director, Thierry Reboul, have done everything possible to have the presence of big American stars.
According to ‘Variety’, Billie Eilishlos Red Hot Chili Peppers y Snoop Dogg They will perform on Sunday, August 11 in the musical part of the closing ceremony, set in Los Angeles.
The publication reports that the three artists will perform in a mix of pre-recorded and live segments from Los Angeles, coordinated by Grammy producer Ben Winston with his French counterparts.
These performances are the last announced as part of the closing ceremony, which will also include French groups AIR y Phoenixas well as a Tom Cruise’s stellar moment.
Reboul, who produced the controversial opening ceremony –which provoked negative reactions and even death threats-, declared that Jolly was preparing a show that will use “science fiction” and “dystopia” to highlight the need to preserve the Olympic Games and our world.
The French Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, declared to ‘FranceInfo’ radio that she had “absolute confidence” that Jolly and his team would once again “dazzle the world.” She also added that there would be a “french touch through electro-pop that has triumphed all over the world”.

At the end of the closing ceremony, the mayor of Los AngelesKaren Bass, will accept the Olympic torch from the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and will take it home from the French capital.
The event will be the subject of close scrutiny, even more so with regard to security measures, after the foiled terrorist attack plot against the three-night stage of the gira Eras Tour by Taylor Swift in Austria.
The Los Angeles Summer Games will be held from July 14 to 30, 2028.
The closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games will take place between 9:00 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. (local time) on Sunday, August 11.
