Koki Kameda for Kameda Promotion has officially announced his next 3150Fight x LushBomu series. There will be an event combining live music and world-class boxing on March 29 and 30 at the Aichi Sky Expo in Aichi, Japan.

The boxing side of the event will likely feature two world championship fights. The first will see Kouki’s younger brother and former WBO bantamweight champion Tomoki Kameda challenge IBF featherweight champion Angelo Leo.

Leo won the championship last August with a stunning 10th round knockout over Luis Alberto López.

Previously holding the WBO belt at 122 pounds, Leo’s career nearly unraveled after his loss to Stephen Fulton in 2021, with only one fight in the next 34 months. However, with the help of ProBoxTV, Lee Oh then rebuilt his career at 126 pounds, winning three times between November 2023 and April 2024.

Kameda moves to 126 pounds in 2022 after failing in a bid for Rey Vargas’ WBC junior featherweight title in 2019. He picked up two impressive stoppage victories before. will face Lerato Dlamini in the IBF elimination round for the No. 2 seed in October 2023. Dlamini defeated the hometown fighter by split decision.

After the fight came back, Kameda had another chance to defeat the South African when Arnold Khegai pulled out a mandatory IBF elimination fight against Dlamini. This time Kameda fell and defeated the South African by split decision.

With Japan’s potential big fight with Naoya Inoue in line for the 33-year-old Tomoki, a win is crucial if he is to continue at the sport’s highest level.

Another rumored matchup on this card is a WBC lightweight title rematch between Melvin Jerusalem and Yudai Shigeoka.

Jerusalem dropped Shigeoka twice en route to a split win last March. before grabbing a very impressive point over Louis. Mexican Castillo, unbeaten in September

Jerusalem previously held the WBO title at 105 pounds, scoring a stunning second-round TKO win over Masataka. Taniguchi in Osaka in January 2023

Jerusalem lost his WBO title in his first defense against Oscar Collazo, the now unified WBA and WBO champion.

Shigeoka raced through the national ranks in Japan, winning the WBO Asia Pacific title. and Japanese champion within five fights before challenging former world champion Wilfredo Mendez for the interim WBC belt in April 2023.

Shigeoka dominates Mendez. by stopping him in the seventh round. He then challenged Panya Pradubsri for the full title in October 2023 and scored a dominant victory over Thailand, sweeping the round 5-12 on all three scorecards.

Since losing to Jerusalem in their first defence. Shigeoka has a lackluster points win over former title challenger Samuel Salva and is now ranked as the No. 1 contender in the WBC rankings.
