Palestinians displaced from the eastern side of the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis continued to flee to other areas of the city on Tuesday after the evacuation order issued by Israel on Monday, a possible sign that Israeli troops could soon return a la zone.

Israel concluded an offensive in Khan Yunis earlier this year and withdrew most of his forces. Monday’s evacuation order affects some 250,000 Palestinians who will now try to seek refuge in an area declared “safe” by Israel.

Some of the dead had just fled Khan Yunis hours earlier, Asmaa Salim, a relative who lived in the attacked building in Deir al-Balah, told The Associated Press. The Israeli military had no immediate comment on the attack.
