The vote of the second round of legislative elections has finished with him rejected to the extreme right by Marine Le Pen, in what represents a surprising reversal compared to the results of the first round on June 30.

The distribution of seats is configured as follows: the left alliance New Popular Frontformed just three weeks ago, has obtained 182 seats. To obtain the majority in the National Assembly, out of 577 seats, 289 seats are needed. The far-right National Group has obtained 143.

Participation record

The participation was once again a record in the legislative elections in France: 26.63% at noon, according to data from the Ministry of the Interior. It had been 25.90% at the same time in the first round. Such a high figure has not been recorded since 1981.

On the other hand, at 5:00 p.m., participation was already 59.71%, highest in almost 40 years. Below is the trend in legislative participation over the last 30 years.
