France reacts to the results of the first round of legislative elections, in which the far-right National Rally party gained a strong lead with around a third of the votes.

Although poll projections suggest that the National Rally will have the most seats in the next National Assembly, It is not clear whether he will obtain an absolute majority of 289 of the 577 seats.

But the Minister of Economy and Finance of France, Bruno Le Maireseems to have already accepted the defeat of his government: “It is a defeat.
