Biden had his first television interview on ‘ABC’ in which he defended himself against accusations about his health and age that arose from the ‘CNN’ debate against Trump.
The president of United States, Joe Bidenhe blamed his disastrous performance in the presidential debate from last week to a “bad episode”. Biden provided more details about how he was feeling at the time of the debate, and argued that he was fatigued by an illness – a cold, he clarified -, travel and that he had even undergone a COVID-19 test.
In his talk with George Stephanopoulos of ‘ABC’ he left words against Trump as “he is a pathological liar“. And he commented that he lied 28 times during the debate.
Before the question on whether he is going to drop out of the presidential race of the United States, Biden has been very clear and concise: “I am the most qualified person to be here and I know how to get things done.”
Biden asked the interviewer, arguing about his position and decisions in foreign policy during these years: “Who is going to be able to keep NATO together like me? Who is going to be able to be in a position where I am able to keep the Pacific Rim in a position where, At least, let’s control being in China now? Who is going to do that? Who has that reach?
“Only God could withdraw me from the presidential race”
He added that his closest colleagues have not encouraged him to continue and that has ruled out the possibility of retiringof the presidential race.
Biden was asked about the information coming from the ‘Washington Post’ about Mark Warner and his movement to try to convince him to resign, to which Joe Biden responded that he respects him, but that they have a different point of view.
It is not the only request that he abandon this presidential race, even the ‘New York Times’ made a request public to Biden.
He closed the topic by making it clear that only God could remove him from the presidential race right now, “and that’s not going to happen.”
