The fire started around 4:00 p.m. local time.
This Thursday, June 13, a fire broke out in the Brucargo merchandise area of the Brussels airportwhose causes are unknown.
Recommended for those who live near the airport to stay in their homes and keep the windows closed For caution.
Airport authorities said the incident had not affected airport operations and that passenger flights left and arrived normally.
According to Brussels fire brigade spokesman Walter Derieuw, reinforcements were sent to the scene: two pumpers, a ladder truck and a tanker truck.
The causes still are being investigated.
