Richardson Hitchins will attempt to dethrone IBF welterweight champion Liam Paro tonight in their 12-round main event on neutral territory at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum, San Juan, Puerto Rico.

This is Hitchins’ exit match, and he looks to turn himself into a star with an impressive win over Paro (25-0, 15 KO). The event will be shown live on DAZN at 7:00 pm ET. Many fans see Paro as too gritty for Hitchins, who looked uncomfortable in his last fight when he was pressured by Gustavo Lemos.

Fight updates and results will be shown below.

Marc Castro vs. Agustin Ezequiel Quintana

Hitchins: A rising star?

Richardson has the charisma and amateur pedigree to be a star in the light welterweight division. We don’t know if it’s hard enough. Tonight, Hitchins will show if he has the grit to deal with a fighter, Paro, who throws the rule book out the window when he fights.

The undercard is heavy on prospects rather than having guys on the cusp of a world title, but it’s understandable why Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn chose to do these fights. The event is in San Juan, Puerto Rico, so he chose fights that will resonate with the public rather than those that fans outside of the Island will be interested in watching.

The Preliminary Card begins at 3:30 pm ET Below
