John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens won 23-30 on Monday. Los Angeles Chargers, led by his brother Jim, in Week 12 2024 NFL season.

The Harbox brothers are the only brothers in NFL history to have faced each other as head coaches.

It was John’s third win against Jim, 62. The previous two were in 2011 and Super Bowl XLVII, when Jim led the San Francisco 49ers.

With the win, Baltimore moved into second place in the American Conference (AFC) North Division with 8 wins and 4 losses, where it trails the Pittsburgh Steelers 8-3.

Despite the loss, Los Angeles remained in second place in the AFC West with a 7-4 record.

Lamar Jackson shined for the Ravens with three touchdowns, two passing and one rushing. With Los Angeles, Justin Herbert had a rushing touchdown and four sacks.

The Chargers offense was unstoppable early in the game. Herbert drove his team 70 yards for a 7-0 lead.

Los Angeles went up 10–0 in the second quarter when Cameron Dicker converted a 42-yard field goal.

The Ravens responded with a 10-7 run by Derrick Henry that was capped by a Lamar Jackson run into the end zone to close the score at 10-14 with a 93-yard drive in eight plays. It ended with a touchdown pass to Rashod Bateman.

The Chargers got within 13-14 with Cameron Dicker’s 52-yard field goal before halftime.

In the third quarter, an exchange of field goals tied the score at 16–17, and a touchdown reception by visitor Mark Andrews early in the fourth quarter extended it to 16–23.

The Harbaugh senior-led team maintained its dominance with the power of its ground offense as Justice Hill made it 16-30 on a 51-yard run into the end zone.

In the last series, Jim’s team cut it to 23-30 on a run by Gus Edwards that didn’t have time to come back.
