A brace from Spaniard Riqui Puig led the LA Galaxy to annihilate the Colorado Rapids 5-0 on Saturday to take a 1-0 lead in the first round of the playoffs. MLS Best of three matches are played.
Both of the former Barcelona man’s goals were similar: the second line came with great strength and success to send the ball into the Rapids’ net.

The Galaxy, who lost first place in the West to LAFC on the final day of the regular season, got two goals from Dejan Joveljic and one from John Nelson.
The score was 1-0 at half-time after a goal from Joweljic, but the Los Angeles team was the top scorer in the West and third in MLS. Inter Miami And the Columbus Crew unleashed all their offensive power in a tremendous second half.
After this meeting at the Galaxy’s Dignity Health Sports Park, the series now heads to Colorado, where the Rapids (seventh in the West) must win next Friday to avoid ending their season.
