Brown signed a three-year contract extension with the team in June of this year. It also comes amid trade rumors for Kings star De’Aaron Fox.
Brown joined the Kings in 2022 and in his first season led the team to snap its 16-year playoff drought. At the end of that season he won the unanimous Coach of the Year award.
Brown was previously an assistant coach for the Warriors during that team’s dynasty the previous decade. Brown’s record with the Kings was 107-88.
