Ukrainian boxer, nicknamed ‘Steel Power’, made his professional debut in 2004. In his 10 years in the ring he signed with 30 wins (19 by KO) and 4 losses.. He is the WBO Intercontinental, IBO International and WBO Intercontinental Light Heavyweight Champion. As an amateur, he won bronze in the 2001 World Cup and silver in the heavyweight category at the 2002 European Championships.

After hanging up his gloves, he became a regular on television until he was part of the Ukrainian version of Got Talent. He also entered politics. Three years ago he ran for mayor of VinnytsiaA small town in central Ukraine, but not elected.
Uzelkov underwent heart surgery earlier this year. “My anesthesia is gone, I have a new heart and tomorrow is my birthday. That’s the gift I received from the doctors at the Kyiv Heart Institute @heart_institute_kyiv,” he wrote after leaving the operating room. He died in recent months after suffering complications while recovering from an operation in Ukraine.
