Star outfielder Theoscar Hernandez is with the Los Angeles Dodgers. According to reports by Jeff Basson of ESPN and Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times, Hernandez and The Dodgers tentatively agreed to a 3-year, $66 million contract.

Hernandez, who turned 32 in October, played a key role in the Boys in Blue series in 2024. Hernandez finished the 2024 regular season with a .272 batting average, 33 home runs and 99 RBIs.

The two-time All-Star hit .350 in five World Series games against the New York Yankees.

In addition to his on-field accomplishments during his first season with the Dodgers in 2023, Hernandez became a fan favorite in Los Angeles.

Some in baseball circles have nicknamed Hernandez “Mr. Seeds” for his famous home run celebration, which involves throwing sunflower seeds at a teammate returning to the dugout after hitting a home run.
