Stevenson: Schofield will withdraw from the fight

Shakur Stevenson is convinced that challenger Floyd Schofield can walk out of his fight on February 22, using an excuse he dreamed up to knock him out of the match.

WBC lightweight champion Shakur (22-0, 10 KOs) says Team Schofield’s accusations that he has a spy in the camp to learn secrets, that he slashes tires, and that he messed with his passport are all the signs that he will bring forth.

Shakur predicts the pull-out

It’s not a good idea for Stevenson to continue discussing his unproven theory of Kid Austin pulling out of the fight because he’s talking about the match, and that will make the fans lose interest. He needs to talk about the fight and try to get the fans excited.

Schofield (18-0, 12 KOs) does not seem afraid of Stevenson, however, and seems convinced that he will be able to walk him and put a beat on the light champion. We don’t know how long Shakur will last in the fight because he is coming off surgery on his right hand, and he wasn’t even using that hand last week in training.

“I just feel like they’re trying to get out of the fight. They’re saying, ‘He did all this,’ and when they don’t show up for the fight, it’s going to be an excuse. They’re going to try to blame me and say something I did. Some fake shit from put him out of the fight,” Shakur Stevenson said Cigar Talk about Floyd Schofield and his father.

“I don’t. We’ve dealt with Kid Austin. I’ve already seen him fight. He’s going to throw a big, hard hand,” Shakur said when asked about the claims that Team Schofield made to believe that Stevenson has spies trying to get information about their training methods.

“He (Schofield) is going to switch, and then he’s going to throw a hard right hand over the top. He’s going to throw a hard left hook. His right hand isn’t really shit. It’s science. Nothing new is happening. he will beat nobody else,” Shakur said.

It would be interesting to know if Shakur actually believes that Schofield is trying to get out of the fight, as this suggests that his beliefs are not based in reality. Stevenson is not a good judge of people, as it is obvious that Kid Austin is not going to quit the fight and sees this as his big opportunity. The money is good, and it’s Floyd’s chance to become a star by winning.

Is Schofield scared?

“I don’t need to do extracurricular shit to take advantage of it. I think he’s scared, and I’m starting to be scared of the fact that he might get out of the fight. I trained my ** off, signed, and then you pull yourself out of the fight. That’s some whore, bro,” Shakur said.

“I don’t even have to watch (Schofield’s) tape. I’ve already seen it. I know what to expect,” Shakur said.
