The biggest purse of both Russian fighters’ careers
los Artur Beterbiev’s career earnings are around $10 millionSo only with the fight against Bivol will he reach that number.
Even if Dmitry Bivol beats Saul “Canelo” Alvarez in 2023, his earnings will be $4 million. This is in stark contrast to what the Mexican earned, even though he lost, pocketing $15 million, not counting 70% of the pay-per-view revenue. If Canelo had won that fight, he would have made $40 million.
A meniscal injury ruled out Beterbiev in June, with Bivol picking up Malik Zinad to stay fit. The fight also took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh and ended with a KO in the sixth round, giving the Russian the victory.
Although the purse for that fight is unknown, it is nowhere near what they will receive on October 12th.
