Ryan Garcia says he doesn’t understand why Bill Haney is pushing VADA to be the drug testing agency for a rematch with Devin Haney. Garcia (24-1, 20 KO) asks if people get “some kind of money cut to use VADA.“
Garcia rejects VADA
Ryan says he will “never” use VADA again. This means that if there will be a rematch between him and Devin (31-0, 15 KOs), a different drug testing organization will have to be used.
If Bill just insists on VADA, his son could miss out on a lucrative rematch with Ryan. Devin says it’s the “biggest fight” in boxing today. However, rematch might not happen unless another drug testing agency is used.
It shouldn’t matter to Bill which agency is used. As long as there are tests, that’s what’s important, especially if he’s worried about Devin getting beat again. He looked bad as hell the last time he fought Ryan in 2024.
It would be bad for Haney because he is a vulnerable fighter with a chin problem, and he will be beaten by a less popular fighter than Kingry sooner or later once he faces someone decent.
“It’s gotten really weird because it’s always VADA. We can get other organizations to try. Because you have Bill (Haney) who only pushes VADA. He never says other organizations, and it’s weird (that) he pushes a certain organization. You don’t want just any kind of tests? This all sounds like the people who are pushing to use VADA are getting some kind of cut of the money to get people to use VADA. That’s just my opinion.” X about his question why Bill Haney is pushing so hard for VADA to be used for a rematch between him and Devin Haney.
“I’m clean, but that organization I will never use again,” said Ryan about how he will never use VADA.
