Former unified lightweight champion Nate Campbell says Dmitry Bivol will only last against Artur Beterbiev until he can absorb the punishment he will dish out on October 12 in Riyadh.

Campbell picks IBF, WBC and WBO lightweight champion Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) to win by KO over WBA champion Bivol (23-0, 12 KOs) because of his power. Nate goes with Beterbiev as his choice until someone proves him wrong, and he doesn’t believe Bivol is a big enough puncher to do that.

The oddsmakers still have Bivol as the favorite despite more and more fans lining up with Beterbiev to win. It’s easy to see why bettors are picking Bivol, as he’s younger at 33, isn’t coming off a knee injury like Beterbiev, and has an impressive win over Canelo Alvarez.

“Beterbiev (will win). One of my fans was trying to put him on the podcast, and he hit the sack in the gym. My boy said, ‘God damn it, who’s still slamming the door in your gym?’ ” He said: “It is not a door. That’s Artur hitting the sack,” said Nate Campbell to YSM Sports MediaTalking about why he chooses Artur Artur Beterbiev to defeat Dmitry Bivol on October 12.

“Until you prove me different, Beterbiev. Can you punch? Can you neutralize a puncher to be a bigger puncher. Tell me what guy is a bigger puncher (than Beterbiev). Bivol can box; I know he can box. But can he punch?” I can box, and I can punch.

Bivol has decent punching power, but it’s not extraordinary. He can throw guys, but he has to land a lot of shots over the course of the fight. To do that, you put yourself at risk of getting caught. Fighting like that against Beterbiev would be too dangerous for him to escape.

“So that changes the dynamic of the game when you can box and you can punch. What is the most dangerous style in boxing? (boxer-boxer). It will end when he can’t take it anymore,” said Campbell about the fight that lasts only until Bivol can take the punishment from Beterbiev.

Bivol is likely to do the dirty by staying on the move, tapping, and holding Beterbiev when he approaches. He knows he can’t afford to fight him inside without getting knocked out. It will be a type of fight with Bivol.
