Keyshawn Davis: “Gustavo is about to get screwed”

Lightweight contender Keyshawn Davis is confident he’ll make mincemeat of hand-picked opponent Gustavo Lemos (29-1, 19 KOs) on Friday, November 8, in their ten-round fight on ESPN+ at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. .

Lemos is not the guy they want 2020 Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn (11-0, 7 KOs) to fight. They were looking to match Keyshawn up against 38-year-old Nicholas Walters, and it’s understandable why.

Keyshawn has shown some flaws in his game that are a red flag that he is not ready to face off against top opposition without being beaten. Why Top Rank wants Walters suggests they don’t trust him.

“I’m here to fight big, and I’ve shown it. I’ve handpicked a tough fight for my homecoming,” said Keyshawn Davis Fighthypetalking about his fight against Gustavo Lemos on Friday night, November 8.

“Every time you see me fight, you all will love to see me fight. The co-main is a world championship fight. You have Abdullah Mason on the card, Troy Isley, my brother Keon and Kelvin. There is so much talent on this card. This is the best Top Rank card of the year by far,” Keyshawn continued.

Keyshawn’s brothers are not great talents, and none of them show the kind of ability to be the main contenders or world champions. They’re just Keyshawn’s brothers and that’s it. There is not much else to say about them. Abdullah Mason is easily the best fighter in the entire career and has the potential that Keyshawn can only dream of. Top Rank hasn’t faced Mason, though, and that’s a shame because now he’s ready to fight much better opposition than the guys who fed him.

“You can tell who Top Rank is pushing to be the next star. They believe in me. They know that I have all the potential, and charisma, and talent to take it there. I’m here to be the next star of Top Rank. I’m here for before the Top Rank. They are here to be the core of Top Rank because they need it now.

“They believe in me and push me towards it, and I’m here to stand up for them. They’ve treated me well, as you all can see,” Keyshawn said. “We’re here to take Top Rank to the next level. I’ll be ready to fight, but when I come out, it’ll be like x two. Gustavo’s going to put his mouth on it.

It is true that Top Rank is pushing Keyshawn, but not because he will be the top fighter for their company. He’s pushed because he’s quirky, likable and has more potential to draw attention outside the ring than anyone else Top Rank has. But in terms of talent, Keyshawn is far from fighters like Vasily Lomachenko, Abduallh Mason, Raymond Muratalla and Denys Berinchyk. Those fighters are much more advanced.

“It’s going to be a hell of a fight. Gustavo is coming to fight. If you haven’t seen my last fight, go watch it because that’s how Gustavo will fight. You’re going to enjoy it from the first round to the tenth round too. My last fight (against Miguel Madueno) was full of action,” Keyshawn said.

Davis has shown more willingness to throw punches in this fight, and use less wrestling if he wants to defeat Lemos because this guy is going to get his hands on him.

If you’ve followed Keyshawn’s amateur career, you’ll notice that he gets stressed when he faces the opposition that punches him. When Keyshawn is hit hard, he loses his focus and fights like he’s lost his senses. He is someone who does not manage to be met with the fierce fire of the enemy. He is at his best when fighting someone who is smaller, slower and weaker. His matches against Jose Pedraza and Anthony Yigit are examples of the type of opponents he does well against.

“So if you want a little preview of what you’re going to see on Friday, come back and watch my last fight, Keyshawn Davis, against Miguel. Go watch my last fight, tune in to it, and Friday the 8th of November, stay tuned for another action-packed scare from “The Business,” Keyshawn said.

Davis’ last fight against Miguel Madueno on July 6 is not ideal for fans to watch if they want to get excited about his match against Lemos on Friday night because he was terrible in that match. Keyshawn fell under Madueno’s pressure and threw the rulebook out the window.
