Jake Paul reacted with happiness on social media to being called out by undisputed lightweight champion Artur Beterbiev, seeing him as validation of his place in the sport after his victory over Mike Tyson, 58, last Friday night on Netflix. Jake’s point of view on his impact on the sport shows that he is in the dark about his true position.
Paul has yet to accept Beterbiev’s (21-0, 20 KO) offer, and many fans doubt he will. While the 39-year-old Beterbiev fits Jake’s target category of being an older fighter, he still has too much left to be picked. It would be worse than a mistch.
Jake is pleased with Beterbiev’s call
It would be a slaughter in favor of Beterbiev because Paul has no real ability. He’s just a rich YouTuber who hangs out and fights in his spare time when he’s not tending to his main job. Jake only fought one active boxer during his career, Tommy Fury, and lost to him. That shows Jake’s operational level as a fighter. At best Tommy is a British level fighter and even that is a stretch.
Labeled as a “disrupter” in boxing, 27-year-old YouTuber Jake Paul says that now run the sport because active and inactive fighters call him for a fight. Jake has the following on social media to pick almost any fighter in boxing or MMA to fight, and they agree to fight because of the money. Any famous person could do the same thing as Jake, but they didn’t go in that direction.
“I saw this … the top 5 pound for pound in the world calling me. Hahahahahaha. 4 years later, and I love this sport,” said Jake Paul Xreacts to being called by undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev for a fight after his victory over Mike Tyson last Friday.
Jake beat Tyson by an eight-round unanimous decision last Friday in front of a reported 70,000+ fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It wasn’t a great performance from Jake, as it looked like a lower level reporter type of fight, but Tyson was beyond words in terms of being horrible.
Reflecting on how I disrupted boxing’s old guard…and it finally hit me, Mike Tyson was the original disruptor. He took the whole sport by storm and became an icon. The goals are clear
