Jake Paul came face to face with Katie Taylor and Bruce Carrington during today’s press conference for daring to bet Mike Tyson to beat him this Friday.

Paul would abuse lesser undercard fighters, challenge them to bet him and then make fun of them. He came across as evil in his interactions with these fighters.

Jake was play the role of villain to raise interest in his fight against the 58-year-old Tyson, and challenged the undercard fighters on the stage to bet against him winning.

Paul Bullying Undercard Fighters

First, he asked WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios if he wanted to bet on Tyson, and he refused. Jake said, “B*** made,” and walked along the line of fighters on the stage until he reached Carrington.

Jake Paul: “How much do you want to bet?”

Bruce Carrington: “How much do you want to lose?”

Jake: “The time you spend taking it like *** is as much as you make in your entire life. Shut the fuck up. How much do you want to lose?”

Carrington: “Whatever.”

Jake: “We got a million here. A million here. You guys want to do this. Put your money where your mouth is. I forgot about Katie Taylor here. How much do you want to bet? I’m not lost.”

Katie Taylor: “Do you want to bet your purse?”

Jake: “Let’s bet the bag. I’ll send the contracts too.”

That was a low blow from Jake because he’s filthy rich, and he didn’t need to talk to Carrington like that. The 27-year-old Carrington hasn’t made much money in his career and is still trying to climb the rankings to 126 to earn a title shot.

It’s unclear if Jake was serious about wanting to make some extra money on top of the $40 million he’s reportedly getting for his eight-rounder against the former Tyson.

Hearn labels Jake as ‘very average’

“He’s very average as a fighter and professional,” said Eddie Hearn Valuetainment about Jake Paul. “As a professional fighter, someone who has dedicated his life to the sport. Most people from the age of seven or eight. He started boxing at 24. I am average in that field.

“I’m a boxing purist. I don’t want to see a 58-year-old Tyson fight. It’s dangerous. I don’t want to see Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson at 58. Mike Tyson retired from boxing 25 years ago, and when he did , it was completely off. It was 25 years ago.

“Mike Tyson is a former heavyweight champion. The speed, the power. I’d love to see it. It’s on Netflix. I’d say $10 million,” Hearn said when asked how much Tyson will make for this fight.
