Fury of Fire: Vikings-Rams move headquarters

Wildfires continue to plague Los Angeles and its metropolitan area, once again impacting the Games. First of all It has been announced that the NBA’s game between the Lakers and the Hornets will be rescheduled This Thursday afternoon’s wild-card round game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams will be played at Statefarm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, for the same reason.

In a statement, the NFL announced the decision for no other reason than to protect the safety of players and fans.

“In the interest of public safety, Monday’s Vikings-Rams wild card game has been moved to the home of the Arizona Cardinals. The decision to move was made in consultation with public officials, participating teams and the NFL Players Association.”

Rams coach Sean McVay pointed out that the most important thing right now is the people of Los Angeles, so where the game is played is irrelevant.

“Obviously our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this fire; I hope we can get this under control.”

The game will be played on Monday, January 12 night.
