Tyson Fury still believes he should have won his first fight against Oleksandr Usyk last May, and thinks he needs a knockout to defeat him in their rematch on December 21.
According to Fury, Usyk only deserved to win three rounds of their fight on May 18, scoring 8, 9 and 10. That would have made it 9-3 for Fury, but the 10-8 round in the ninth did little . closer.
The judges saw it differently, scoring it 115-112 and 113 for Usyk, and one giving Fury 114-113. That was the odd point of the three.
I watched the fight and had it 9-3 in favor of Usyk, and felt that the contest should have been stopped in the ninth round after Fury was out on his feet after taking a barrage of shots.
“There’s no secret. I’m going to get him out because I don’t think I’m going to get a decision no matter what I do. So I’m going to get him out of the hands of the judges. I think I’m going to get him out of there,” Tyson Fury told Undisputed YouTube channel on his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk on December 21.
It’s good that Fury believes he’s going to get a knockout because he’s not going to show up like he did last time and come out punching.
“I give him rounds eight, nine and ten. A couple of judges saw it differently; one of them saw me winning,” Fury said of the judges who scored his fight against Usyk.
As you can see, Fury is still tormented about his loss, delusional about what happened last May. He cannot understand the reality that he was beaten by the best man, Usyk, and saved by the referee in the ninth.
For Fury still unable to accept his loss, it shows that he is not someone who can learn from his mistakes. It would be the worst employee an employer could have because when you pointed out the mistakes, Fury could refuse to accept.
“In two decades, no one has ever survived a rematch with me, and in all the rematches with John McDermott, Derek Chisora and Wilder, I stopped them all,” said Fury.
The rematches that Fury won were against lesser fighters, nowhere near the class of Usyk, Dubois, Joshua, Zhang, or Hrgovic. McDermott, Chisora and Wilder were not high level fighters.
Wilder has held the WBC heavyweight title in the past, but has never beaten anyone during his reign as champion. He was just a fighter who was maneuvered into the WBC spot by his smart promoters and fed subpar fighters during his five-year reign.
“In the first career until becoming world champion against (39 1/2-year-old Wladimir) Klitschko and making a comeback at 30. When you think of sportsmen at 30, usually they are almost finished, no said Fury.
Many heavyweights are still fighting in their 30s. The fact that Fury made a comeback at 30 isn’t a big deal, especially when you look at the fighters he’s fought. If you look at Fury’s resume since his return in 2018, it’s been poor through and through. The only good heavyweight Fury fought was Usyk, and he lost to him despite having a six inch height and a 40lb weight advantage.

Who did Fury really fight to make his comeback to supposedly reach the “top of the world again” as he says? Fury has never shown that he is the best, nor has he shown that he is back after his layoff following his win over the 39-year-old Wladimir in 2015. The guys that Fury has fought since his return have been less fighters, everyone. of them
Fury has never fought this line of killer heavyweights: Daniel Dubois, Anthony Joshua, Filip Hrgovic, Zhilei Zhang and Fabio Wardley.
Would Fury have beaten those fighters to make a comeback? He could have beaten Wardley and Zhang, but Hrgovic, Joshua and Dubois would have knocked him out.
