Tim Bradley thinks Devin Haney’s decision to file a lawsuit against Ryan Garcia for testing positive for a PED is only making things worse for him instead of improving the situation.
Bradley says Haney is wasting his money and wasted time on Ryan (23-1, 20 KOs) for their April 20 fight, which he lost by a 12-round majority decision in Brooklyn, New York . People didn’t want to work with Haney after that, and that would ruin his career. Burn, baby, burn!
Former two-division world champion Haney’s value has already plummeted since his loss, but things could get worse if promoters and his fighters treat him like a leper, seeing him as litigious and incapable to reach a loss.
Bradley points out that Ryan has already been fined one and a half million dollars and suspended for one year by the New York State Athletic Commission for testing positive for Ostarine.
It’s already working against him, with Ryan saying he won’t give him a rematch. So, unless he changes his mind, this is a big payday that Haney is missing out on because of his lawsuit. That puts more pressure on Haney to win because if they don’t, there will be no revenge for Ryan and he will be treated like he has the plague by the fighters and their promoters.
“This is the sweetest (stuff) I’ve ever seen in my life,” said Tim Bradley Probox TV about the trial of Devin Haney against Ryan Garcia. “Who will want to fight and give that day of payment? The blow was the million dollars that took him.
“The million and a half dollars they took him, and then the suspension of the year. The year out. That’s what they gave him, and they felt it was fair,” said Bradley about the fine of the New York Athletic Commission and Ryan’s one-year suspension for testing positive for the banned PED Ostarine.
“We’re moving forward. We’re not continuing to live in the past. Now, Haney’s putting this back. I’m not. Haney, you’re wasting your time. You’re wasting your money. You’re wasting other opportunities. Everyone’s looking at you like you’re crazy,” Bradley said.
The fans looked at Haney as if he was mentally weak by choosing to file a lawsuit rather than focus on getting back with a rematch. In an interview that Haney gave to Ariel Helwani, he indicated that he would make Ryan pay and then have a rematch. He may discover that he got things wrong with his planning.
“Haney, you were in the fight. You beat the wrong game plan, but now you want to come and ask. It doesn’t make sense.
“Ryan Garcia didn’t really train (for the Haney fight). He was overweight. I was told, ‘He was like 17, 20 lbs overweight that Monday before the fight. I didn’t want to do the heavy lifting, Tim. However, he did what he had to do and got down to 143 lbs, got on the scale, and gave up the money like he said it was,” Bradley said.
Ryan looked huge the week of the fight as if he hadn’t taken off enough weight during camp and had trouble getting down to 140. It’s not surprising that Ryan missed weight by 3.5 lbs because he didn’t look to be. hard training in the last two weeks. Maybe Ryan thought he was going to lose it and thought it wasn’t worth the torture to lose the necessary weight.
“Haney is making this even worse and bad for himself. People are not going to support him and be behind him. He just needs to take this rumor that he got and take it like a man and move on, Haney Bradley said.
Many fans believe Haney is hurting his career badly with this move, which, if he wins, might not bring in the kind of money he thinks it will. Losing the rematch money is probably much worse for Haney, and being shunned will leave him nowhere. He might end up throwing himself out later in life, ruined by regret.
