ask How do you prepare for a fight?
Answer Daily preparation, very professional training. It doesn’t change. We adjusted more technical details for the fight, because it’s just boxing with different rules, not MMA.
Q. On a technical level, anything new?
R. Concrete things to strengthen hands and wrists. Specific jobs for boxing. I’ve also noticed improvement because when we fight or struggle I always go home more bruised. Boxing is like a relief, so to speak. It’s just the arms, I have to focus only from the upper body. Agility with your hands, movement with your feet… more alive.

Q. And how are you training in boxing?
R. I always love doing everything here at Black Panther. Then JV Vega is helping me a lot. He was a great boxer. Also, we’re getting a little bit of detail from the people who are helping us, but most of all my preparation was done on Black Panther.
Q. Black Panther’s rise has been brutal.
The truth is we’re building a good team, getting good talent, I believe that’s where everything is born.
R. The truth is we’re building a good team, getting good talent, I believe that’s where everything is born. The truth is, we are slowly achieving great things and whether we like it or not, it helps people who sign up to get inspired and achieve great things as well.
Q. Your opponent claims he believes he has an advantage because he is a boxer…
R. Yes indeed. He came from boxing, which is what he always did. But I think changing the chip is also good because it helped me to work as well. It suits me well for this fight as well as future fights.
Q. What plan do you have?
R. I’m going to enjoy and perform, get people off their chairs. And obviously I want KO, right? I want my bonus. KO appears.

Q. Bare knuckle is a completely different discipline than MMA. It was bare fisted, no floor, no cage.. no ‘milk’.
R. Yes, the truth is, the only thing everyone should apply for is their benefits, in this case mine is tall. And everybody has to play their cards well, because apart from going ahead and going with the blows, you have to be a little smarter about keeping the rounds safe. There were five two minute rounds, I think the rush was not good.
Q. Do you see Bare Knuckle as the present and future of your career?
R. I wish How the company is treating me, the treatment I got at ‘Media Day’.. its boom, the momentum it is gaining and above all the vision it is proposing and how they are selling it. I think it’s great that you as a face product, as well as, television, brands, etc… take advantage of the opportunity to continue fighting at these events.

Q. At what level do you rank BKFC?
R. I would say it’s like a top company right now. In MMA, maybe talking about a promotion like UFC or Bellator. In the end, what you are looking for is fine. Make sure they give you everything you need, everything is well covered and they are up to date.
Q. How did you sign?
R. Well look, it started a long time ago, Franco Tenaglia proposed to me. He is a friend of mine who has already told me to fight in some event in Europe. I think it was in Bulgaria and I couldn’t say yes because my fights were already closed. The opportunity has now appeared and we must not let it pass us by.
Q. Does the fact that it’s a bare-knuckle fight ever put you off?
R. Well not true. I don’t care about the face, I just want the hands to look good. If there are cuts at the end, the show is more for those who go. That was proposed, wasn’t it? Both men are beating each other down in the ring.

Q. They arrived in Spain to stay. And BKFC, Madrid on the horizon…
R. I think it will become a fashionable sport. It’s a relatively new event, they do events every month… and they’re filling it up. I think it is because he has good feedback from people. I think this could be one of the biggest chances they bet on in Madrid later. And it would be crazy if they did it in Madrid.
Q. Will the fighter notice the arrival of bare knuckle in terms of finances?
R. Yes, it pays better and is better rewarded.
Q. Finally: Do you have a prognosis for your struggle?
R. Win before time and raise all the people. Go for the bonus. And wait for the next call for the next event.
