Former IBF super middleweight champion Plant (22-2, 13 KOs) will fight the unbeaten McCumby (28-0, 21 KOs) for the interim WBA belt. The winner of this fight could face Canelo next.
Fans haven’t seen former two-division world champion Danny Garcia (37-3, 21 KOs) in a couple of years, and he will challenge Erislandy Lara (30-3-3, 18 KOs) for his title of WBA middleweight. . It would be impressive if Danny could dethrone the 41-year-old Lara after two years out of the ring.
The Spoiled Fanbase
It is not clear what price fans expected for this card, but they must understand that an event like this will be a little more expensive than average. If fans thought Canelo-Berlanga would sell in the $70+ range, they were kidding themselves early on that there were too many excellent fights at the event to be priced that low.
