Mayweather Promotions’ rookie duo of Joseph Brown and Jursly Vargas traveled to the East Coast as both remained undefeated to pick up impressive victories at the Tale of Garcia 4 event that took place on Saturday night, November 30 in ACX1 Studios in Atlantic City. New Jersey.

On the undercard of Tale Of Garcia 4, 18-year-old Joseph Brown began his bout against Carlo Ricci by moving quickly around the ring while working the jab. In the second round, Brown fired the jab and proceeded to land a three-punch combination to the body.
Late in the second round, Brown connected with a solid right hand, and then proceeded to close out the round by hitting Ricci with a flurry of shots. At the beginning of round number 3, Brown stood in the pocket and landed a combination of five punches to the head and body of his opponent.
For the remainder of the third and throughout the fourth, Brown controlled the distance, used his jab, and landed strong combinations. At the conclusion of the 4-round contest, Joseph Brown won on all three judges’ scorecards by a score of 40-36. With the win, Brown improves his record to (4-0, 3 KOs).
Brown’s stablemate, Jursly Vargas, was competing in the co-main, as he faced Claudio Hernandez. In the opening round, Vargas landed a solid left hook and followed it up with a flurry of power shots. Hernandez responded by connecting with a two-three combination.
For the rest of the opening round, Hernandez was expected to be the first to aggressively press forward, but Vargas showed that he is capable of fighting on the back foot. During the second round, the fight was very competitive as both boxers were able to land significant blows.
The uppercut was a very effective weapon for Vargas in the early rounds. Late in the third round, Vargas connected with an uppercut that stunned Hernandez, as Vargas continued to land a series of power shots that forced Hernandez to take a knee.
Hernandez was able to get up as the bell rang to officially end the third round. In the fourth round, Vargas connected with a big right hand that knocked Hernandez off balance. Vargas proceeded to hit Hernandez with a flurry of power shots, which forced the referee to step in and put a stop to the contest.
With the win, 20-year-old Jursly Vargas improved his record to (4-0, 3 KOs). The Mayweather Promotions duo of Jursly Vargas and Joseph Brown closed out 2024 on a winning note. Vargas and Brown are eager to get back in the gym, working on their craft, and preparing to be very active in 2025.
