In the Main Event returning to the ring after nineteen years at the age of 58, former World Heavyweight Champion “Iron” Mike Tyson lost an 8 round decision to Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas, on Friday on NETFLIX before 72,300 in attendance.
In the Co-Main Event, former Olympic gold medalist, current WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF and IBO Super Lightweight champion Katie Taylor won an exciting narrow decision over IBO, WBA and WBO Featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano fans seem to disagree with for the most part.
Mike Tyson, 50-7 (44) lost to Jake Paul, 11-1 (7) via Cleveland, Ohio, in 8 × 2 rounds.
In the first round, just over a minute into the fight, Tyson caught Paul with a right on the chin that put him on the defensive, catching Tyson in a cinch. With half a minute remaining, Paul landed his best punch of the round, a right on Tyson’s chin. In the second round, Tyson continued to push forward, supporting Paul throughout the round, landing more punches in a round of few punches.
In the third round, Tyson comes out throwing bombs with few landing. A minute into the round Paul landed several hard shots that hurt Tyson. Paul had a great turn that kept Tyson off balance. In the fourth round, Tyson continues to have trouble with his mouth as Paul keeps that jab in his face. In the last minute Tyson rarely crossed a punch as he got away from Paul who had another good turn.
In the fifth round, Tyson landed a left hook near the end of a minute on Paul’s chin. He landed shortly after Paul landed an overhand right on the chin in the last thirty seconds. In the sixth round, Paul used his jab, without throwing any big punches, while Tyson threw a few punches. The final minute had fans wanting more action.
In the seventh round, Tyson began to throw more punches in the first minute than in previous rounds. In the last minute, Paul landed Tyson right at the bell. In the eighth and final round, Paul had his way. In the last seconds, Paul stopped and lowered his head in honor of Tyson who recognized him.
Referee Mark Ca-loy. The scores were 80-72 and 79-73 twice.
In the Co-Main Event in a rematch (Taylor won a split decision over Featherweight champion Serrano), former Olympic Gold Medalist, current WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF and IBO Super Lightweight Champion Katie Taylor, 24-1 (6) fought to an exciting close decision over IBO, WBO, WBA Feather champion southpaw Amanda ‘The Real Deal’ Serrano, 47-3-1 (31) in 10 × 2 rounds.
In the first round, in the last seconds, an overhand left by Serrano on the chin had Taylor injured and on wobbly legs. In the second round, Taylor, returning after a year, returned well, landed punches and tied Serrano enough to outland Serrano, taking the round.
In the third round, Serrano got the better of Taylor, who came back in the final seconds. In the final minute of four rounds, a clash of heads caused a cut on Serrano’s right eyebrow.
In the fifth round, Taylor came back, winning the round. In the sixth round with one minute remaining, a clash of heads caused Referee Jon Schorle to call the ring doctor due to the cut on Serrano’s left eyebrow. In the seventh round, Taylor landed good roundhouse combinations on Serrano’s chin.
Schorle warned Taylor to use his head. Near the end of the round, he took a point from Taylor that didn’t seem like a really good call.
In the ninth round, the war continued, with the referee prematurely intervening several times. It was a good turn for Taylor.
In the tenth and final round, Taylor had a great final minute to take the round, as Serrano’s blood-stained face showed just how tough a fight it was. Taylor didn’t do enough to win the fight by losing a point earlier. Taylor had suffered a cut on his right eyelid at the end.
The results were 95-94 from the three judges.
WBC Interim World Welterweight champion Mario ‘El Azteca’ Barrios, 29-2-1 (18), finished in an exciting split draw with Abel Ramos, 28-6-3 (22) over 12 rounds, for the WBC world title .
In the first round, Barrios controlled with his jab. Midway through the round Barrios landed a right to the chin that caught the knees of Ramos (who was in his second title fight after losing a split decision to Yordenis Ugas for the vacant WBA title) that the right glove can have touched the cloth, but not. called a knockdown by referee Afu. In the second round, the taller (4″) Barrios continued to have his way. In the last seconds, a left hook followed by a right from Barrios on the chin and down Ramos (fifth time in the career ), who got up immediately, taking an 8 count from referee Hector Afu.

In the eighth round, Ramos backed up Barrios throughout the round, landing him. Halfway through the ninth round, Ramos drew blood from Barrios’ nose, taking another round. In the tenth round, after a minute, Barrios was drawing blood from Ramos’ nose. A good turn for Ramos.
In the eleventh round, Barrios’ face was swollen, but he cut Ramos under the left eye halfway through, taking the round. In the twelfth and final round of an outstanding fight, Barrios was able to take another close round as Ramos’ left eye closed close.
Scores 114-112 Ramos, 116-110 Barrios, 113-113 a draw.
Middle Neeraj Goyat, 19-4-2 (8), easily defeated, debuting Whindersson Nines, 0-1 (0), over six rounds.
In the first round, with his hands at his side, Goyat blew away Nines, who was making his debut. At thirty seconds, Goyat caught Nines with a right to the chin. Nunes, whose nose is very red by the end of the first minute, landed a few punches. In the second round, Nunes landed his first solid punch, a right uppercut to Goyat’s chin. Goyat, the hand for the most part now, continued to our work Nines, which was on the end of receiving in all.
In the third round, Goyat landed a flurry of punches, driving Nunes across the ring into a corner. In the final seconds, Nunes landed a double left hook to the body, hurting Goyat. In the fourth round, Goyat landed half a dozen punches without returning in the first minute.
In the fifth round, Goyat continued to land flurries against the much more inexperienced Nunes. In the sixth and last minute final round, it was all Goyat landing punch after punch, back up Nunes all round.

Former WBC Silver Super Middle Champion Shadasia ‘The Sweet Terminator’ Green, 15-1 (11) won a split decision over Melinda ‘The Whip’ Watpool, 7-1 (2) in 10×2 rounds, by vac WBO World Super Middle title.
In the first four rounds Green landed Watpool who added eight pounds for this fight. In the eighth round Watpool had their best turn. In the fifth and sixth Green continued to take on Watpool.
In the ninth lap again, Watpool did well in a close lap to take it. In the tenth and final round Green seemed ahead and Watpool knowing he was the aggressor.

Light ‘Prince’ Lucas Bahdi, 18-0 (15), won a majority decision over Armando ‘La Furia del Quadraro, Casamonica, 14-1 (3) by a ten-round decision.
In the first two rounds Casamonica was the aggressor, but was countered by Bahdi in close rounds. In the third and fourth round Bahdi kept his place in casamonica outworking.
In the sixth round, Casamonica came back well. In the seventh to ninth round, Bahdi was out landing Casamonica. In the tenth and final round, it was close, with both having their moments.

Feather Bruce ‘Chu Chu’ Carrington, 14-0 (8), defeated Dana Coolwell, 13-3 (8) in eight rounds.
In the fourth round, Carrington scored a takedown, receiving an 8 count from Referee Jon Schorle. In the eighth round, Carrington scored his second knockdown, getting an 8 count from Referee Schorle.
The scores were all 80-72.
