Brandon ‘Cannon’ Adams lost a split decision in a war to the undefeated Andreas Katzourakis on Friday night at Corey Studios in Corey Towers, Atlanta, Georgia.
In the co-feature, Olympian Oshae ‘Suga’ Jones was upset by a split decision over champion Femke ‘Thunder’ Hermans for her IBF and WBO Super Welterweight titles.
WBA Continental Americas Super Welterweight champion Adams (25-4, 16 KOs) lost a 10-round split decision to Katzourakis (15-0, 10 KOs).
In the first round, it was all action with internal fighting. Katzourakis suffered a cut over his left eye. In the second round, Katzourakis landed a really low kick, dropping Adams. Referee Thomas Taylor gave time to recover. The action continued on the rise of Adams. In the third and fourth rounds, Katzourakis continued to have Adams against the ropes for the most part.
In the fifth round, the nonstop punching from both continued. In the final seconds, Referee Taylor warned Katzourakis to land low punches. In the sixth and seventh rounds, the war continued, going back and forth between those who had the advantage.
In the eighth and ninth rounds, the fight was mainly fought in the middle of the ring, with Adams having an advantage. In the tenth and final round, the fight of all the action continued until the bell.

Two-division champion and current IBF and WBO Super Welterweight world champion Femke ‘Thunder’ Hermans (18-5, 7 KOs) lost a split decision in 10 rounds and her title to 2020 Olympic bronze medalist Oshae ‘ Suga’ Jones (8-). 0.3 KO).
In the first round, both had their moment in a close round. In the second round, Jones caught Hermans with a left on the chin, nearly dropping him at the bell. In the action-packed third round, a clash of heads caused some swelling in Jones’ right eye area.
In the fourth round, Jones got Hermans in trouble again, landing a right on the chin. Midway through the fifth round, Hermans landed a solid right to Jones’ chin. Switching to southpaw throughout, Hermans was hit hard at the bell.
Hermans had his best rounds in the sixth and seventh rounds. In the eighth lap, Jones made a good comeback, passing Hermans.
Both had moments in the ninth inning, with Jones taking the lap. In the tenth and final round, Jones may have pulled out in a close and action-packed fight.

Lightweight Maliek “Mayhem” Montgomery (20-0, 18 KOs) defeated Sakaria “Desert Storm” Lukas (26-3-1, 18 KOs) at 1:40 of the fourth round of the scheduled ten rounds.
In the first round, Montgomery had Lukas covering at the end of the bell. In the second with half a minute remaining, a flurry of punches from Montgomery dropped Lukas for an 8 count from Referee Nate Mann.
In the third round, turning south, Montgomery continued his dominance of Lukas. In the fourth round, midway through the point, Montgomery from Southpaw landed a vicious left uppercut to the body, dropping Lukas for the count by Referee Mann.
Welterweight southpaw David ‘Dynamite’ Lopez (7-0, 5 KOs) stopped Marlin ‘So Icey’ Sims (8-4, 4 KOs) at the end of the first round of the scheduled six rounds.
In the first round, with thirty seconds to go, Lopez landed a left hook on the chin, knocking Sims to the canvas for an 8 count by Referee Malik Waleed. Lopez jumped on him, landing a flurry as the round ended. Sims’ corner called a stoppage. Lopez had a little nosebleed at the end.
Super Middleweight ‘The Brickbuster’ Nathan Lugo (3-0, 3 KOs) stopped Mardoche Ilunga (1-1-1, 1 KO) at 0:44 of the fourth and final round.
In the first round, Lugo knocked out Ilunga. In the second and third round, Lugo continued to beat the defensive Ilunga.
In the fourth and final round, Lugo picked up where he left off as Ilunga’s corner called on referee Thomas Taylor to call a stoppage.
Lightweight Jonny ‘Magic’ Mansour (3-0, 1 KO) easily defeated Luciano Ramos (2-8) in four rounds.
In the first two rounds, Mansour easily won the rounds over the wild Ramos, who kept his gloves as his defense. In the third round, Mansour landed a three-punch combo that ended with a right uppercut to the chin of Ramos at the halfway point. In the fourth and final round, Mansour continued a shutout, landing easily on Ramos just looking to go the distance. The scores were 40-36, 40-36 and 40-36.
