DAZN revealed today that the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol undercard will be shown on October 12 as part of the regular subscription in the US and Canada.

British heavyweights Fabio Wardley (17-0-1, 16 KOs) and Frazer Clarke (8-0-1, 6 KOs) meet in a 12-round rematch on DAZN. The two fighters fought to a competitive 12-round draw on March 31 at London’s O2 Arena earlier this year.

Wardley will defend his British heavyweight title against 2020 Olympic bronze medalist Clarke. In their previous fight, Wardley suffered a lot of facial damage from Clarke’s heavy hands, which had been laying on top of him.

The fight between the unified heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev and the WBA champion Dmitry Bivol will be broadcast on ESPN+ on non-PPV.

Fights on DAZN on October 12th

– Fabio Wardley vs Frazer Clarke
– Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Kamil Szeremeta
– Jai Opetaia vs. Jack Massey
– Skye Nicolson vs Raven Chapman
– Ben Whittaker vs Liam Cameron
– Mohammed Alakel vs. Jesus Gonzalez

Middleweight contender Chris Eubank Jr. will face journalist Kamil Szeremeta in the second fight under the main event on DAZN. After all these years, Eubank Jr. (33-3, 24 KOs) the 35-year-old is still slowly working his way to a world title shot.

It’s hard to believe that Eubank Jr. took so long to climb the ranks for a crack at a belt after losing to WBA super middleweight champion George Groves by a lopsided 12-round unanimous decision six years ago in 2018.

Eubank Jr. he’s made good money fighting domestic and European opposition, which may be one of the reasons he hasn’t shown much urgency to position himself for a world title. It helps when you’re the son of a famous British fighter. The money is right.

A more compelling fight on the card for US fans is IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia (25-0, 19 KOs), who will defend against #11 Jack Massey (22-2, 12 KOs). This should be a decent scrap for how long it lasts.

It is not clear if Massey was the best they could get for Opetaia to defend because a better opponent would be Yuniel Dorticos, Richard Riakporhe, or Cheavon Clarke.

You want to see someone with power who can hit Opetaia to get their respect because if they don’t pop in their shots, they bomb them. Opetaia looked shy in his last fight against Mairis Briedis when he started hitting hard, and turned into a Shakur Stevenson-style runner.

That surprised many fans, as they had previously seen Opetaia as unbeatable, but he looked very human last May in his rematch with Briedis in Riyadh. Opetaia has been given a non-puncher this time, so he’ll probably do well against Massey, unless he’s getting flashbacks from the Briedis fight.
