In Gaza Despair grows, as the aid routes to supply food and water to the millions of Palestinians displaced are becoming “unusable”, according to United Nations.

On Sunday, Israel promised to carry out daily tactical breaks in combat along a route that extends from Kerem Shalom – the only operational help step from the strip in the south – to the nearby city of Jan Yunis.

“Tactical pause”

The call was supposed to “tactical pause” would allow creating a new safe broker to deliver the aid to southern Gazabut so far it has brought little relief to the Palestinians.

Miles of trucks loaded with aid crowds ready to deliver aid, but according to a UN official who spoke on condition of anonymity, groups of armed men regularly block convoys.

It’s turning out to be a big obstacle for the aid distribution in central Gazawhere it is calculated that 1.3 million Palestinians take refuge in tents and overcrowded apartments desperate for food, water and medical supplies.

Humanitarian groups say that only a ceasefire and lReopening of the Rafah border crossing could significantly increase the aid flow to the area.

Meanwhile, according to local media, the Israeli Defense Forces have announced the death of two other soldiers.

The soldiers would have died during a Hamas attack in central Gaza Strip this Thursday. With them, the number of Israeli military casualties rises, according to Army data, to 314.
