Cuba announces the arrival of four Russian warships and a nuclear submarine

Four Russian warships, including a nuclear-powered submarine, will arrive in Havana next week, according to official Cuban sources who referred to “historically friendly relations” between both nations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, which heads Bruno Rodriguez, reported this Thursday in a press release that the four vessels will be in Havana from June 12 to 17. He clarifies that none of them will carry nuclear weapons and assures that its presence “does not represent a threat to the region.”
