The Israeli Police have described the attack as “terrorist.” The attacker was killed, according to authorities, who have not provided further details about his identity.
At least one person died and another was injured in a knife attack in a shopping center in northern Israel, where the Israeli police has been classified as a terrorist act.
Gal Zeid, a spokesman for Israel’s Galilee Medical Center, said doctors declared a man dead after failing to revive him. The same source added that another man was admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital. The attack took place in the Israeli town of Karmiel.
The police say that the attacker was killed, although he did not provide further details about his identity. The tensions have spiked in the region since the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7 and the subsequent war in Gazawhere the Israeli military offensive is approaching its ninth month and has killed around 38,000 people.
