Napoli has made official the arrival of Antonio Conte to the ‘Azzurro’ bench for the next three seasons.
For a few weeks it was rumored that Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of the ‘Partenopei’, he had opted for Italianwhich was confirmed this June 5 through a press release:
“I am very proud that the new Napoli coach is Antonio Conte. “After many seasons at the top of Italian football, today a new and important chapter opens in the history of Naples.”
Conte succeeds Francesco Calzona who led the team from February to May 2024, after Rudi Garcia and Walter Mazzarri were also dismissed in the 2023/24 campaign.
Napoli finished in tenth place in the A leagueso it will not compete in European competitions next season.
For his part, Conte has not managed since March 2023, when he was fired from Tottenham.
