“Call It A Day”: Dubois advises Fury to retire

IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois thinks Tyson Fury should retire after losing to unified champion Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch on Saturday night in Riyadh.

Dubois doesn’t come right out and say it, but Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) looked old and faded, getting schooled for 12 rounds by Usyk. The Ukrainian talent never got past second gear, knocking out the Gypsy King in front of a deathly quiet crowd at the Kingdom Arena.

After the fight, Tyson did not say whether he would retire or not, but obviously he will return to the ring for the two fights against Anthony Joshua in 2025. There is too much for him to do in those “Battles of Great Britain”. matches to reinforce that.

Tyson Fury’s net worth is estimated at $160 million, and even if he doesn’t need to continue, he will surely add another $100 million+ to that total. There is the greed factor.

Dubois calls for retirement

“Furia has had a great career. I think it’s time for him to call it a day,” said Daniel Dubois to secondsoutHe reacts to a very old Tyson Fury being beaten once again by Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night.

It would be great if Dubois could dispatch Tyson in style by fighting him. This will allow the young talent to use the old lion to increase his star power. If the gypsy king wanted to be useful, he would allow Dubois to take his scalp.

Fury’s fans were in denial about his loss, thinking he had done enough to deserve the win. They are kidding themselves. He lost, and looked terrible the whole time. He was beaten with three-punch combinations by Usyk when he tried to meow late in the fight and did little else.

It’s been years since Fury has beaten a semi-decent fighter. The last guy with a shred of talent that the Gypsy King beat was Deontay Wilder in his trilogy match on October 9, 2021. This victory is very shaky, as many believe that Fury was given long account in the fourth round when he was abandoned. Deontay is not a great fighter, but it is Fury’s best win in the last three years.

Has been smoke and mirrors with Fury for years, with him being a subpar fighter, and his gullible fans have lapped him up, believing he’s the best. He’s pulled the wool over his eyes for the last 14 years of his career, and they’re none the wiser.
