Alexis’ Rocha (25-2-1, 16 KOs) fought a non-stop slugfest to a twelve-round draw that ended in a draw with Rocha getting one of the points against Raul Curiel (15-0-1, 13 KOs) on Saturday night at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.

Rocha went with Curiel, 15-0-1 (13) in a 12-round contest.

In the first four rounds, Rocha had his way, landing on Curiel’s body and head. Curiel had his best turn in the seventh round, finishing in the last minute – and Rocha.

Curiel had his best round in round eight, with Rocha covering him throughout the round. They went back and forth in the ninth and tenth laps, taking turns getting the best of them.

In the eleventh round, Curiel outlasted Rocha in a close fight for the most part. In the twelfth and final round, halfway through the point, Rocha caught Curiel with a left hook to the chin. In the last minute, Curiel ends the strength of the two.

The referee was Ray Corona. Tjhe scores 116-112 Rocha, 114-114 and 114-114.

2016 Junior Olympian Charles Conwell (21-0, 16 KOs) stopped southpaw Gerardo Luis Vergara, 20-1, 13 KOs) at 2:51 of the seventh round of a scheduled ten round bout.

In the first two rounds, Conwell won both rounds, landing Vergara to the body. In the third round, the two opened up to the body in a solid round for both, with Vergara bleeding from the mouth.

In the fourth round, Conwell continued to get the better of the lefty Vergara, whose record shows weak opposition against the former Olympian. Vergara finally made it to the competition in the fifth round, although she still lost the round.

In the sixth round, Conwell was drawing blood from Vergara’s nose. In the seventh round, Conwell landed a dozen unanswered punches, prompting Referee Thomas Taylor to wisely call a stoppage.

Former WBA, WBC, WBO Super Flyweight World Champion, 2012 Olympic Bronze Medalist Marlen Esparza (15-2, 1 KO) defeated former Flyweight Champion Arley ‘Ametralladora’ Mucino (32-5-2, 11 KOs ) by unanimous decision of ten rounds. decision

Thomas Taylor warned Mucino twice for pulling Esparza’s head. In the third and fourth rounds, Mucino took both.

In the fifth and sixth rounds, Esparza came back to win both. In the eighth round, both boxers went to the body.

In the ninth round, both had their moments in an all-action round, with Esparza holding an advantage. In the tenth and final lap, Mucino had a strong finish to take the lap.

Super Flyweight John ‘Scrappy’ Ramirez (14-1, 9 KOs) defeated heavyweight Ephraim Bui (10-1, 8 KOs) by ten-round unanimous decision for the vacant NABF champion.

In the first round, Ramirez backed up Bui throughout the round. Bui suffered a cut to his right eyelid in the second round due to a clash of heads, but did enough to outwork Ramirez. In the third round, Bui did well again, getting the better of Ramirez.

In the fourth round, blood flowed into the face of Bui’s right eye. In the fifth round, Ramirez landed several driving rights on Bui’s chin.

In the sixth round, Bui overpowered Ramirez. In the seventh round, Ramirez overcame Bui. In the eighth round, in the final seconds, Ramirez landed a hard right to Bui’s chin, knocking him in the head.

In the ninth round, Ramirez caught Bui with a right to the chin midway through the round. In the tenth and final round, in a close fight, Bui had his best turn, landing Ramirez.

Super Feather Victor Morales I (20-0-1, 10 KOs) stopped Ivan Guardado (16-3-1, 6 KOs) at 0:1 of the eighth round of a scheduled ten rounds.

In the second round, Morales cut Guardado’s right eyelid. In the third round, Guardado came back with a left hook to the chin, hurting Morales in the first minute. Morales managed to get to the bell.

In the fourth round, Guardado came back pretty well until the final seconds when Morales landed a left hook on the chin, nearly dropping him and making him hold. In the fifth round Guardado came back holding his own.

Morales’ right eye was closed by Guardado’s jabs in the seventh round. In the eighth round, Referee Ray Corona called the ring doctor, who examined the eye and called a stoppage.

Super bantamweight Jorge Chavez (13-8, (8 KOs) defeated Ruben ‘El Manichi’ Dario Casero, 12-4 (4 KOs), by eight-round unanimous decision.

The referee was Rudy Barragan. The scores were 80-72, 80-72 and 80-72.

Light welterweight Ricardo Ruvalcaba (13-0-1, 10 KOs) defeated Jabin Chollet (10-2, 8 KOs) by an eight-round unanimous decision.

Scores 79-73, 80-72 and 80-72. The referee was Ray Corona.

Super Bantam Gael ‘El Terrorista’ Cabrera (6-0, 4 KOs), met Garen ‘Hellboy’ Diagan (10-7, 5 KOs) at 2:59 of the second round of a scheduled 6.

In the second round, Diagan went down, forcing referee Rudy Carriban to call a stoppage without a count.

Lightweight Joshua ‘El Americano’ Garcia (9-1, 4 KOs) was knocked out by Uhlices Avelino-Reyes (3-1, 2 KOs) in the second round of a scheduled six rounds.

In the first round, Avelino-Reyes was knocked down by a count of 8 by referee Chris Leben. In the second round, Avelino-Reyes went down for the second time, forcing Laben to call a stoppage.

Super Light Javier Meza (1-0, 1 KO) defeated David Music (0-2) at 2:58 of the first round of the scheduled four rounds.

In the first round, Music went down, forcing Referee Chris Laben to call a stoppage.
